DDRS Notes
What with sundry insects attacking our roses I sometimes wonder how we manage. Nevertheless, our members contributed to a
great show in Brisbane and followed up the next week with another excellent Spring Show in Toowoomba. Thanks to our members
who worked so hard to make the show a success and to the exhibitors, judges and visitors who from outside Toowoomba.
A number of our members enjoyed a great day on Saturday, October 20, touring parts of the Downs and visiting gardens. Thanks
to Maureen Hultgren for organising the day.
November will be our final meeting for 2007 and will take the form of a social gathering and a relaxing lunch.
To all our members and friends we extend God’s blessing this Christmas and into the coming New Year.

The Darling Downs Rose Society Membership wishes to express its sympathy at the sad passing of Margaret Timbs, who died in
Toowoomba on June 19th 2007. She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren. Margaret will be sadly missed.
Margaret and her husband, Murray had been active members for many years. They were keen gardeners and together achieved Grand
Champion Garden on three occasions in the Carnival of Flowers.
They loved growing roses and Margaret had a special love for pink roses.
